People Are Smart...

recalcitranttoyWhenever I see that commercial on TV I want to throw something. People are NOT smart. Ride the DC beltway for 0.3 minutes and you'll see multiple examples. Or, perhaps, peruse my in box. Most people know that I have a pagan website where I sell cool stuff. Unfortunately, not all of the (potential) customers are as cool as the stuff. I awoke to a string of emails from a person in the UK, one sent every hour or so (yeah, the UK is 5 hours ahead of us) demanding to know how to order from the UK despite the several large font warnings that I only ship within the US. I had one who actually read the warnings, then asked "I know you only ship within the US, but does that include Canada?"
I am certainly not excluding myself in this parade of stupid people. In fact, last night I hit my own car. Gee, how'd I do THAT you might ask. Pretty easily actually. I'm still trying to sell an ML 430 SUV, and![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
dogpooh had parked it ridiculously in the driveway. I noticed it and thought that I wouldn't have a problem exiting because I have a "U" shaped driveway, and I'd just go out the other end. Well, parked there, despite telling her at least 100 times NEVER to park there, was my housekeeper's car. Getting really pissed off and trying to negotiate a ridiculously parked SUV is not a recipe for brilliance, and I scraped Booger in an unhappy way.
See? People ARE stupid.
