Well, the republican parents lost their bid

Every couple of years my parents run for the NH Legislature (I think it's still the biggest elected legislature in the US with 424 members). They are (unfortunately) Republicans in a Democratic district, so there really wasn't a big chance they'd get in, but they tried anyway. Mom has been in the State House for two prior terms, and had received many kudos for her fiscal responsibility.

I am sorry they didn't get in, but glad Obama took the state.
