Just a few words sometimes.....

I try to avoid the idea that a first impression makes such a lasting "taste" for a person. I would rather not shroud my vision of a person by missteps they might make the first time we meet. But you know, it feels rather odd when I think I know someone rather well, for just a few words, or a phrase, to make me look at them in a different light.
That happened today with a friend of mine who sent me an email that had just one phrase in it that seemed so out of character yet shed light on many other pieces of the puzzle of that person that I had been trying to put together. Course, I thought I was a lot further along in the puzzle than I apparently was. These few words caused a compete re-evaluation of the entire relationship.
Weird the way these things can happen, albeit unplanned. Words have power, indeed.....
Oh, and for those who were wondering, I didn't go to the audition tonight. Still recovering from the allergy attack, although I'm a lot better now. I just didn't feel up to doing the "moo" thing, and my voice would not have been happy at singing either. Perhaps next time :-).
