I have totally failed to mention....
Jun. 13th, 2007 02:03 pmI am totally thrilled with having a small part in Coriolanus. Despite being really hot (in the temperature sense), our first rehearsal went really well. The director has a clear vision of what he wants (which truly helps), and I think things will come together really well. It's going to be a lot of work on everyone's part, but this group seems to be very ready to do what's necessary.
I'm also really thrilled to have a car that I can drive to rehearsal with and not use 1/2 a tank of gasoline. That is a major league plus. I also get to play with shiny buttons and beeping touch screens and play games with the auto lock out features in stop and go traffic. The "can I finish this command before I have to apply power the car and the registration of >0 speed locks me out" game is really kinda fun.
Next rehearsal I shall bring some ice so that I don't completely melt down. Being from NH is a definite liability to dealing with heat. Menopause is another liability. I will plan accordingly next time.
It feels nice to be part of a group full of theater people and geeks again. It's been a long time. I didn't know how much I missed it.
